Until the early 1960's the Mar Menor (Little Sea) which

is a salt water lagoon and the La Manga strip which is the sandbar that creates the Mar Menor were totally undeveloped. Then along came tourism and the area now after the last fifty years has undergone a great deal of development. In a roundabout way perhaps this old decaying boat links the present with the past to those days when things were much quieter and less commercialised along the coast of Spain. File 6714.
