Up above Valensole on the Plateau de Valesole stands this grove of olive trees and around the base of the trunk of this particular tree are a number of red poppies. The low morning sun casts a shadow from each tree throughout the whole olive grove.

Orthez, Pyrénées-Atlantiques France-6468
At nearly midnight late one night while driving to southern Spain this 14th century bridge and it's central tower caught my eye at Orthez in south western France. The next two days were spent waiting for the rain to stop, finally it did in the late afternoon and a twenty second burst of light appeared. The sun then disappeared and grey became the dominant colour again.

At a tiny hamlet on the west coast of France facing out into the Bay of Biscay you can find Les Trois Canons. The area is noted for it's many mussel farms.
